Blind Cricketers Shine in Baramulla: UT-Level Tournament Concludes

The Cricket Association for Blind Jammu and Kashmir, in collaboration with the District Administration Baramulla, Department of Youth Services and Sports Baramulla, Department of Social Welfare Baramulla, Department of Excise and Taxation North Range, and ARTO Baramulla, successfully hosted a two-day UT-level cricket tournament for the blind. Held on August 23-24, 2025, at the Showkat Ali Stadium Baramulla, the tournament saw an exciting competition between Team Grey and Team Yellow, with Team Grey emerging as the winner. A notable highlight of the tournament was the participation of a large number of new players, which added to the excitement and talent pool. This initiative aimed to empower differently-abled individuals through sports and promote community spirit, and the efforts of the collaborating departments and the Cricket Association were widely applauded.

On behalf of the association, I, Ajay Kumar, General Secretary, would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us. We look forward to your continued support and goodwill in the future.
